INSTRUCTION FOR USE - EXPORT REVIT TO GRAFSYSTEM
- Shows the type and number of selected elements.
- Shows the elements to export. Clicking on the elements shows in the model which element it is.
- Button to add families to the selection. A “+” will appear next to the course, select the families to add and finish the action.
- Button to remove families from the selection. Select the elements in the column “Elements to Export” and click on the button
- Grafsystem will open automatically.
- Perform the export.
- Cancel the export.
The Grafsystem / Export geometry to Grafsystem tool of the Add-in, exports the previously selected geometry in Revit to The Modular Formwork Configurator Grafsystem.
Revit – Grafsystem export process:
If the geometry is a link, it is necessary to “Open and download” the link.
The application does not recognize the selected geometry of a link.
Select the geometry to export.
The application will only recognize Revit walls, floors, slabs, beams and structural columns families.
In this version of the application, column pier caps are not considered. Grafsystem will not recognize them. The application works with closed and single perimeter slabs, an option to create column pier caps and export them to Grafsystem correctly is to generate as many slabs as the number of pier caps the geometry has. On the other hand, the existing voids in the slab shall not be exported. These voids will have to be generated manually in Grafsystem.
If the building is composed of more than one floor, it is recommended to export only the geometry corresponding to one of the floors (walls, columns, slab and floor), as all floors could be exported, but the exported geometry cannot be solved in Grafsystem. It is possible to export more than one floor and more than one slab, as long as they correspond to the same floor.

Add or remove part of the selected geometry (if necessary) using the buttons 3 and 4.
Click “NEXT“ to perform the export or “CANCEL” to cancel the operation.
If” Open in Grafsystem” is activated, clicking “NEXT” will automatically open Grafsystem with a new Project containing the exported geometry.
If not, the user will open Grafsystem manually and import the geometry by clicking the following button.
