DESCRIPTION

There are two buttons inside of the [Grafsystem] button:

• Import solution from Grafsystem (Import from Grafsystem)
• Export geometry to Grafsystem (Export geometry to Grafsystem)

The integration of Revit with Grafsystem through “Export geometry to Grafsystem” and “Import from Grafsystem” allows exporting geometries from Revit to Grafsystem with the aim to formwork it in Grafsystem and returning the solution back to Revit.

The following diagram describes the process and the condition in which these tools work:

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

There are some considerations that must be taken into account when carrying out the export and import process.

• The geometry can be in the same project or linked, but when it is linked the user must take it into account:
  
  • To export the geometry, open the linked geometry and select the geometry.
  • The solution is imported where the solution is created (not in the link).
  • It is precise to follow the working procedure with links in order to position the imported solution in the right place (it is important having “coordinates acquired”).

• The categories available for export to Grafsystem are asfollows:
  • Walls-Walls
  • Structural framing --> Beams
  • Structural columns -->Pilars
  • Slabs (in case of selecting two floors, the one above will be considered as Slab and the one below as floor)
  • Floors->Floors
