The Copy View Filters tool is a filter manager where filters can be copied, deleted and managed between project views.
STEPS TO USE
SELECT VIEW
Reference view from which the filters will be copied. Only one view can be selected.
Apart from the views that exist in the project, there will be another view at the bottom of the list, called “All filters”, where all the filters that exist in the project will be loaded.
Above in the right, there is a filter for searching between the views.
SELECT FILTERS FROM VIEW
After selecting the view, a window will appear displaying all the filters currently existing in the selected view. (The order in which the filters appear is the order of their creation, not the order in which they appear in the view).
Besides the window, there are other buttons:
- Ordered: In the filters window, the filters appear in the order that Revit assigns automatically. This button organises the filters alphabetically.
- Up/Down: These buttons serve to move the filters in the list. (Especially useful since the filters order sets the priority in Revit)
- Delete selected filters: Deletes the selected filters.
- Apply order: Applies any changes made using the previous buttons to the view. It is designed to apply changes to the origin view without copying the filters to other views.
- Shift: This button is used to select more than one filter, without having to select each filter one by one. As if it was the real shift button.
- Select All/Select none: This button is used to select all or select none of the filters.
Above in the right is a filter to search between the filters.
SELECT VIEWS WHERE SELECTED FILTERS WILL BE APPLIED
The window displays all the views available in the project, as in the first window. In this case, the user can select all the views they wants, copying all the previously selected filters to all the views at once.
- The Shift, Select All, and Select None buttons are in this window, as in the previous one, with the same function as above.Shift: This button is used to select more than one filter, without having to select each filter one by one. As if it was the real shift button.
- Select All/Select none: This button is used to select all or select non of the filters.
At the top right, is a filter to search between the views.
